It’s time for you to take a handle on your life and achieve the outcome you want! If you look at your life at this point in time can you confidently say you are living it exactly the way you want to? Ask yourself, are you completely content where you are and the direction you’re heading?
If you are, congratulations because not many people have learnt how to achieve this! If you aren’t, then please read on..
What does it feel like to not have control of your life?
It’s a sense of feeling trapped as if you can’t see the end of a tunnel. You feel stuck in a rut but you also don’t see yourself getting out of it.
You know your dreams are there but you don’t ever see yourself achieving them. They have been pushed aside and placed on the back burner. You have given in to the negativity and you are settling into what you think you are worthy of.
Do you find yourself thinking ‘This is it, I accept it as is, where I am at now I will be forever’. This is what giving in feels like, losing control and letting go.
What does it feel like to have that control?
Two words came to mind as I try to describe the feeling of control. I truly believe that when you know you have control and can see the direction you are heading, you should feel these two things:
Content – You should feel content in where you are in life. You have either achieved the vision you have had for yourself or you know that where you are, is not your forever.
Where I am now is not where I will be in 1-2 years. I am certain in my direction and I can see it unfolding right before my eyes. It might even be 5 years away but I see it, I am working on it and that is what truly matters!
Peace – I feel like we are all searching for peace in one way or another. Peace is a calmness within because you have certainty in who you are and where you are going. It is a power of knowing that you have the control and the ability to shape your life for the outcome that you want to achieve.
How do I take control of my life?
It starts with YOU! It always will and we need to understand that. We can not look at others or life around us to help us achieve our dreams. Everyone has their own journey and the person next to you is on a different path and may end up in a completely different direction.
Most of us don’t give ourselves the credit we deserve. I come across so many people who didn’t understand their self worth and what they could achieve until it was brought to light within them.
Understand what is out there. Understand the world we are in today and LOOK at the possibilities you have around you. Never give up your dreams as everything you want can be achieved when you put your mind to it.
There is a well known quote ‘you only need one person to believe in you’. That one person you need to believe in you is yourself. Stop looking for someone to believe in you and start looking at your self belief!
No matter where you are in life, know your worth and never settle for something that is OK if you know you deserve more.
Ask yourself these questions:
1. Are you surrounding yourself with positive influences?
2. Are the people around you supporting your direction?
3. What can I do for myself, TODAY to start changing my life around?
Reflect on what it is in your life that you want to change and start putting it into action.
TAKE NOTE, WRITE THIS DOWN: ‘I will do life and live the life I want utterly and completely. I will start to be aware of my emotions and I WILL start to forget the negative and replace it with the POSITIVE!’
Having this written down or saved in your phone will be a constant reminder when feeling low. You can look back and reflect on the above note and remind yourself where you want to be and how you will get there!
